NMBVAA SA & NT Branch Announces New Memorial & Bronze Plaques

The following annoucement was made by SA & NT Branch President, Brian Selby at the end of January 2017,

Selamat malam Members, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure to advise you that the Council of the City of West Torrens has approved a grant that will allow the siting of a black granite Memorial and bronze plaques in the Memorial Gardens adjacent to the Council Chambers at Hilton. This is where the annual Malaya & Borneo Veterans' Day service is conducted on the Saturday nearest to 31^st. August in conjunction with Merdeka Day celebrations in Malaysia.

The Memorial will be manufactured and placed in position by Tillett's Memorials; the task is scheduled to be completed in the week prior to ANZAC Day 2017 with the unveiling and dedication service pencilled in for Saturday, 22^nd. April 2017 at 11:00 hrs… all things being equal…
